I'm Marisa (she/her)
Raised by the folks of IATSE Local 51, in Houston, TX, I learned early on what it meant to take care of your crew.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon, I worked as a touring project manager and as an asst. stage manager. I was astounded by the incredible work, but most importantly, the incredible people of the live events world.
Burnout was (is) everywhere in the industry but the
efforts towards creating work/life balance never seemed to stick.
I became curious to learn approaches that could actually support individuals and their desires for a great career without having to give up everything in exchange.
I pursued my Masters of Education in Human Sexuality while working as the community program manager for Rock Lititz & Nashville. I became deeply interested in how our careers and personal lives interweave and impact one another.
Utterly fascinated, my desire grew to find a way to combine
sexuality education, organization development, and a no-nonsense roadie mindset.
I started ALL CALL Care Co. in hopes to create more access, resources, and visibility to the experiences so many of us go through - trying to build a life and a career in collaboration, not silos.
I am driven by the hope of building an industry where:
people can do what they love,
alongside the people they love,
for as long as they want.
